Department of trauma and emergency medicine caters to all type of medical and surgical emergencies including trauma 24X7. The average footfall of patients per day is about 70-100. The department works in close collaboration with various clinical departments. The treatment in emergency and trauma is prioritized on the basis of severity of disease/injury and not on first cum first serve basis. Ambulance service is available to fetch trauma victims from public area. * The treatment in Emergency and trauma is provided with the aim to stabilize the patients. The admission of patients needing critical care depends upon the availability  of ICU beds.
